Our CSR Engagements

Since its creation, the Sirail Group has been a responsible company, responsibility being one of the Group’s values. As such, and even without having yet formalized a policy, Sirail was already acting in favour of the environment, the communities in which Sirail is located, and its employees.

Today, we want our actions to be part of a deliberate approach following an ambitious trajectory.

To animate and bring our commitments to life, we are pleased to announce that we have created the position of CSR Manager.

Our CSR approach aims to organise and formalise the actions already underway across all our sites. These initiatives are already making a tangible contribution to our commitment to sustainable development. Our ambition is to build on this momentum, strengthen these initiatives and measure their impact to set out a realistic yet ambitious roadmap for reducing our environmental footprint.

If we already have some good ideas on the big contributors to our environmental footprint, we do need to better understand what levers are available to us to reduce it. It is with this idea that we have defined the following actions:

Give a seconde life to trains and support green mobility, it's ou job also our commitment At Sirail Services, we firmly believe that sustainable mobility begins with making the most of what we already have. Every retrofit or maintenance operation we carry out means a train stays in service for longer, resources are conserved, and the carbon footprint is reduced. In a rail sector undergoing major transformation, our expertise is dedicated to a simple aim: to ensure that what has been built lasts, rather than rebuilding everything from scratch. «In my view, CSR is about businesses adapting to the modern world. A world where work has to have meaning, a world where global and societal challenges must be aligned with business development and growth. CSR therefore enables environmental, social and economic issues to be structured around clear objectives. This approach is based on the inclusion of all stakeholders and on the definition of measurable and sustainable initiatives. My role as local CSR officer includes implementing Sirail Group’s CSR objectives and values, while accounting for the local challenges faced by Sirail Germany!
